1 killed, 2 hospitalised in Bauchi APC gubernatorial primaries

It has been reported that one person was killed in Boi, Bogoro local government area of Bauchi state while trying to vote in the gubernatorial primaries of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) just as two others have been hospitalised for gun shots wounds by yet to be identified person.
The allegations were made by two of the contestants in the APC gubernatorial primaries, Yakubu Ibrahim Lame, and Mohammed Ali Pate, while briefing Journalists at the NUJ Press Centere late Monday evening on the conduct of the exercise.
Consequently, the duo have announced their withdrawal from participation in the exercise calling for its immediate stoppage by the National Secretariat of the party because according to them, the process has been hijacked from the committee.
While further alleging that their supporters across the state were tear gassed, harassed and intimidated in order to ensure that they did not participate in the exercise.
PPRO of Bauchi Police Command, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, when called said that he was not in the position to either deny or confirm the report promising however to get back as soon as possible as at the time of this report 8.40pm Monday evening.
