When Olere exposed photographers, cinematographers to ‘The Dance in Photography’

It was a refreshing experience for professional and up-and-coming photographers and cinematographers in the industry when an initiative of the promising photography company, Olere Concepts hosted hundreds of participants in a three-day workshop in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The workshop, which is widely described as an eye-opener was sponsored by Sony, Bovas, Play, Load NG, Aramanda, and Topmost Prints, among others, just as it afforded image producers to have a fresh education and unknown genres in the art of photography.

The programme with the theme, “The Dance in Photography”, held from August 16 to 18, at Mauve 21 Events Centre, Ring Road, Ibadan, also had the presentations of authorities in the industry, legal sector, and business sector, including Christopher Animashaun, Shola Animashaun, Samuel Ajiboye, Joshua Osakede, Lanre Esho, Dayo Adedayo, Big H and Yemi Ajala.

The speakers did not only centre on the topics related to photography but also discussed facts relating to daily activities in human life.

The high point of the workshop was the presentation of awards to Dayo Adedayo, Shola Animashaun, and Christopher Emmanuel (aka Baba Alajota) as well as the practical session, which addressed the camera settings challenges that various photographers and cinematographers encounter, which was held on the last day of the workshop.

The brains behind the workshop and the CEO of Olere Concept, Olamidipupo Akinfenwa Akinpelu, expressed his delight on the success of the programme, noting that the feedback so far is an innovation that will give the industry a facelift.

“We hope to continue to sensitise the youths in the industry through various programmes which we plan to hold in the future. Owing to the increase in unemployment in Nigeria, there has been an upsurge in the individuals coming into the photography industry which in turn made the art more popular. So, we are committed to taking all interested professionals in the industry to explore all untapped opportunities in the photography world,” he added.
