My problem with tonsilitis

Published by

I have been battling with the problem of tonsillitis for about a year. It is a long reddish object moving up and down my mouth but with no pains. Can I go and operate it traditionally? Kindly help me.

What you are noticing is not the Tonsils but the Uvula. While the tonsils can be seen on either side of the throat at the back of the mouth, the uvula is the small, finger-shaped piece of tissue that hangs down from the soft palate in the back of the throat. It can usually be seen when the mouth is open wide.

Swelling of the Uvula can be caused by infection, allergies or trauma. Depending on the cause, uvulitis treatments may include antibiotics, antihistamines or, in some cases, surgery. Kindly see your doctor for a proper examination and treatment.
