I want to know if a daily walk is enough exercise, especially when you are about 60 years of age.

Walking will make a good base for you. It’ll keep your heart efficient, your joints supple, your mood stable and your blood glucose levels under control. Walking every day is better than sitting all day. However, it is not going to make muscles that aren’t there yet.
It’s not going to keep your bones safe as effectively as resistance exercise will, once you reach your forties and beyond. Walking is good enough to keep you from falling apart.
It’s not good enough to actually build strength. The takeaway is that consistency is better than intensity, but consistency with variation is better. Walk every day. Don’t be afraid to ask more of your body than that.
