Gym and the elderly

Published by

I am over 70 years of age. Kindly let me know if I will benefit by going to the Gym for work outs.

It has been confirmed that elderly people who regularly exercise usually have better postures by standing up straight. That’s not just cosmetic, that means that they have way more mobility and freedom of movement around their neck and shoulders. The next thing I would say is their agility, or nimbleness. Getting up and down off the floor, stepping up and down from things, moving around in general has vastly improved.

Their physical appearance has also improved fro the better. The most intriguing change is their mental strength. They have said this themselves and said that their friends and family noticed too. They’re less forgetful, more alert, more focused and generally in a better mood more often. Admittedly, that could be because they are happy with their improvements but it’s nice all the same.
