Creative director, Ehimigbai Idowu Junior, popularly known as Chelsea Pastor, has shared his experience working with various entertainment labels and artistes in Nigeria and abroad, describing the experience as beautiful.
Chelsea Pastor revealed that his passion for the entertainment industry started growing from his childhood days, adding that growing up and working with top music acts across the globe has helped him to build “a detailed career and impressive reputation in the entertainment industry.”
The creative guru, who is currently working with Don Crucifixto Entertainment as casting director said he had been working with creative minds since 2009 when he first joined defunct 2moch Rekordz.
Speaking about his relationship with Nigerian-born UK based Afro pop singer, Sean Dampte, he said “It’s been a beautiful experience working as manager and creative director to Sean Dampte. The number of years we have been together says all about our relationship. So I will say it has not been all rosy working as his manager but every challenge that we encounter were easily solved because of the passion to succeed.”
Speaking about how eventful the year has been, he added that Dampte had travelled to Nigeria a number of times for video shoots and music recordings and releasing a couple of musical projects could only mean that they have had a great year.
“We have since released ‘10 Yards’ video in which Don Crucifixto was featured. Woman Weed or Wine video was recently released and both videos are also receiving airplays across the country. An EP entitled ‘Essence’ by Don Crucifixto and Sean Dampte was also recently released.
“Producing these songs and shooting four videos both for Sean Dampte and our newly signed young talents within a space of four months wasn’t easy. Especially when one considers the fact that Dampte is based in the UK, while his brother Don Crucifixto lives in the US. A lot of planning and logistics were involved to make these things possible,” he said.
Besides, being a creative talent that he is, Chelsea Pastor, is also into movies as he made his acting debut on Transit – a psychological thriller to be released in 2022. The movie is produced by Tumi Oluyole and directed by Robert Peters.
