THE Kogi State Executive Council sitting on Monday has approved the appointment of Prince Mathew Opaluwa as the Attah Igala following the demise of the former Attah as HRM Michael Ameh Oboni II.
Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ozigi Mohammed Deedat, made this announcement after the SEC meeting held at the Government House, Lokoja.
He succeeds late Dr. Idakwo Ameh Oboni II who died at a private hospital, Abuja in August 2020.
Governor Yahaya Bello at a time insisted that due diligence would be observed in the appointment following the controversy that greeted the appointment of Attah Igala.
