Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Akanbi
A non-governmental group, Iwo Development Association (IDA), has congratulated Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrashid Adewale Akanbi over the recent approval of federal college of education in the town.
The group also congratulates all Iwo Sons and Daughter’s over the development, saying it is long overdue for the community.
According to a statement signed by the chairman of the group, Alhaji Muslim Mutiu and the Secretary, Animashahun Maruf, who said the gesture was one the beautiful thing witness during the first five years rain of the youthful king.
The statement described Iwo as the most neglected among the important town in Osun State by both the federal and state government.
“It is a shame that despite the political relevance of this town in Osun State and even before the creation of the state from Oyo State.

“How can you describe a situation where I would which comprises about three local government couldn’t boast of either a federal or state institutions.
“We thank our amiable king, Oba Abdulrashid Adewale Akanbi and Distinguish Senator Oriolowo for making this comes to reality.
“We also give kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari, for this project while assuring him that we the people of the town will support the project with all we have” he added.
The chairman, however, urged the entire people of Iwo kingdom to tap from the available opportunity of the project for the development of themselves and the town.
