Consuming milk and orange

Published by

I want to confirm whether it is safe to consume orange and milk around the same time.

Chinwe (by SMS)

Yes — eating an orange and drinking milk back-to-back is safe for most people. The idea that citrus fruit “curdles” milk in the stomach and causes harm is a myth. This is because the stomach already uses strong acids and enzymes to break down proteins; small curds formed by acid do not cause obstruction or poisoning. The body digests curd.
