Zamfara gov donates N14m, 700 bags of assorted grains to14 slain civilians JTF

THE  Zamfara State Governor Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar has donated the sum of fourteen million nairas (N14m), seven hundred(700) bags of assorted grains to members of the civilian JTF who recently lost their lives during the gun battle with armed bandits in Shinkafi local government area of the state.

Governor Yari who announced the donation was represented by the state commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Dankande Gamji during the official handing over of four million nairas to four persons that recovered 4 Ak47 rifles from bandits in the state.

According to him, arrangements have been concluded by the state government to present the donation of N1million naira and fifty bags of assorted grains to each of the 14 civilian JTF that was recently killed during the gun battle with armed bandits in Shinkafi local government of the state.

Governor Yari who sympathised with the victims family said the gesture would be maintained to any civilian JTF that lost his life during active service for the state.

He maintained that the state government would continue to reward hard work and people that dedicated themselves with selfless service to the community.

Meanwhile, the governor has again suspended 2 district heads making 4 for their alleged involvement in criminal activities in the state.

Dankande Gamji revealed that by suspending the district heads, this shows that state government would continue to address issues of insecurity until the state becomes free from the menace of crime and criminal activities.

He said the suspension was to serve as a detriment to other traditional rulers who may involve themselves in criminal activity within their domains.

He mentioned that two district heads were suspended recently and today another two were also suspended in the state.

According to him, the suspension was as a result of the alleged involvement in armed banditry in their domains.

The commissioner explained that the district heads of Ruwan Gora in Talata Mafara Emirate Alhaji Isiya Balarabe and Musa Bakindaji district head of Gwali in Gummi Emirate councils were suspended, while the district heads of Gyado and Tungar dutsi in Bukkuyum Emirate council had been suspended earlier before now.
