Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly called Wizkid, has become the first African artiste to surpass 12 billion streams on Spotify across all credits.
The milestone was announced on Monday by WizStatz, a music statistics account on X.
In a post tagging the singer’s official handle, WizStatz wrote, “WIZKID (@wizkidayo) becomes the first African Artist to surpass 12 Billion Streams On Spotify Across All Credits.”
The figures cover songs credited to Wizkid as a lead artiste, as well as collaborations and guest appearances on tracks by other artistes.
The latest achievement comes months after Wizkid became the first African artiste to surpass 11 billion Spotify streams across all credits in May 2026.
The milestone further extends the singer’s record on the global music streaming platform, reflecting the combined streaming figures of his solo releases and collaborations.
