Nigeria’s leading telecommunication industry,  Globacom, has promised to add more value to the annual Ojude Oba festival celebration in Ijebu-Ode.

The festival, which had attracted international attention according to the Regional Activation Manager, Lagos/Ogun region, Olufolahan Faseyitan, remained the only rallying point for all Ijebu to pay homage to the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland and also taking the land through social and infrastructural development.

Faseyitan who represented Globacom Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga Jr at the press conference to herald the 2019 Ojude Oba Festival at Awujale’s Palace, Ijebu-Ode, on Monday, said the company would reward most colourful and creative groups (regberegbes) with mouth-watering cash prizes.

He added that the company would empower winners of its raffle draw competition with 10 tricycles and 10 plasma television sets during the festival.

The company, therefore, encouraged its subscribers in Ijebuland to participate in the raffle draw to win one of these prizes

Faseyitan noted that the company would continue to support major festivals in the country so as to preserve its unique cultural heritage.
