Vice President Yemi Osibanjo on Monday said that the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has spent over N2.7 trillion on infrastructure across the country.
This is just as he commended the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, for keeping peace in his kingdom
He said: “I am happy with the Emir of Kano, for the ways he is keeping peace in his kingdom.”
Professor Osibanjo who is on an official visit to Kano stated this at the inauguration of 2.5 kilometres Aminu Alhassan-Dantata flyover in Kano, also stated that the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje deserves commendation over the execution of numerous projects across every nooks and crannies of the state.
He said the projects are giant strides in infrastructural development of the state.

According to Osinbajo, President Buhari’s administration prioritises infrastructural development in the country.
“This bridge will surely facilitate free movement, especially for business purposes as it neighbours popular Sabon Gari commodity market,” Osinbajo added.
Earlier, Governor Ganduje said the idea behind the construction of the bridge was to decongest the area, considering its importance and the rate of traffic in the area.
According to him, the flyover project was initiated by the immediate past administration and left at 25 per cent completion stage.
“When we came on board, we had to pay the sum of N500 million for the contractor to accept to continue with the project,” he said.
