Uber, Bolt, others not banned at airport ― FAAN

Following an ongoing insinuation that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has placed a ban on the usage of Uber, Bolt and other modes of transport at the Lagos airport, the government agency has described the news as fake saying passengers and other airport users have the freedom to patronize any of the transports.

Reacting to the news traced to an online platform, the spokesperson of FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu declared: “We will like to state with all emphasis that passengers and the general public are free to use whatever means or mode convenient to transport themselves to the Lagos and other airports in Nigeria.

“We will, therefore, like to use this medium to inform the general public that the said signpost did not emanate from FAAN and our security personnel have been instructed to remove the signpost and investigate the issue.”

The authority expressed its commitment to her core values of safety, security and comfort.
