1 – DelioOnnis (1971 – 1986)

Aged of 72 actually, DelioOnnis is a former Argentine footballer. He started in his home country in 1966 at Almagro, then GyE La Plata before arriving in France in 1971 at Stade de Reims. In France, he has played in 4 clubs. The Stade de Reims (1971 – 1973) with which he scored 45 goals in 76 matches, AS Monaco (1973 – 1980, 278 matches, 223 goals), Tours FC (1980 – 1983, 129 matches, 73 goals), and SC Toulon (1983 – 1986, 81 games, 40 goals). Despite all his talent, DelioOnnis never had the chance to wear Argentina’s colors. He is from the same generation as Maradona, Mario Kempes, etc. In total, he has scored 299 goals in 449 Ligue 1 games in France.

2 – Carlos Bianchi (1973 – 1980)

Born in 1949, Carlos Bianchi is also an Argentinean. He stayed in France for a bit during the same period as DelioOnnis, his fellow compatriot. Now aged of 71 years old, Carlos Bianchi made the beautiful days of Stade de Reims, PSG and Racing Club de Strasbourg. He scored 179 goals in 220 League 1 games. Carlos Bianchi is also an Argentina international. He totalizes 14  selection for 7 goals scored.

3 – Gunnar Andersson (1950 – 1960)

Swedish-born Gunnar Andersson is third on our list. In 10 years of career in League 1, he also managed to mark the spirits by his innate sense of goal. In 234 games played, 169 with Olympique de Marseille and 10 with Girondins de Bordeaux, he has scored 179 goals like the Argentino Bianchi.

4 – Hassan Akesbi (1955 – 1964)

Of Moroccan origin, Hassan Akesbi started his career in his native country and ended there too. But before that, he had time to leave his mark on the French championship by rising to 11th place among the top scorers in the history of league 1. After making his begining in Morocco with FUS Rabat, he landed in France in 1955 on the side of Nîmes Olympique, a club in which he played until 1961, then from 1964 to 1965. He will subsequently know the Stade de Reims and AS Monaco as other French clubs. In France’s top football, Hassan Akesbi has scored 173 goals in 293 games.

5 – Josip Skoblar (1966 – 1974)

With 151 goals scored, Josip Skoblar is the last in our top 5. Of Yugoslav origin, he has only known Olympique de Marseille in his career in France.
