Tompolo lauded for scholarship awards to outstanding FUPRE students

The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, has received accolades from students of Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurrun (FUPRE), for doling out N10 million as scholarship awards to two outstanding students of the institution.

The two overall best students of the University with the current highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) namely, Taiwo Samuel Olubunmi from Geology (College of Technology) and Dickson Eseoghene Samuel (Mechanical Engineering), were each awarded N5 million scholarship by the management of Tantita Security Services Limited.

Chief Justice of the 8th Judicial Council of the Students Union Government (SUG) of FUPRE), Comrade Iroegbu Mishael Chika, while eacting to the gesture in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, said this would inspire the beneficiary students and others to be focused and give more time and attention to their studies.

Chika explained that the scholarship was given to the students during the 2024 edition of the Petroleum Industry Awards hosted by FUPRE in collaboration with the African Child Foundation, to celebrate individual academic excellence.

He commended the management of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, under the leadership of Tompolo for the philanthropic gesture to the students of the institution.

The FUPRE SUG Chief Justice, while expressing his appreciation, extolled Tantita for its proactive measures in securing the Niger Delta, adding that the company has indeed done laudable job thus far.

He thanked the company’s representatives led by its Executive Director of Operations and Technical Services, Captain Warriedi Enisuoh, for their presence at the event and for contributing to the celebration of the students of the institution.

He further lauded the company for making students’ welfare and educational development a priority, as seen through the scholarship award and presentation.

Comrade Chika, reaffirmed the willingness of FUPRE students to collaborate with the company towards greater social impact and development.
