Thousands of Kubwa residents stormed the Abuja edition of the ongoing nationwide comedy tour known as th Glo Laffta Fest.
Held at Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dutsen-Alhaji, Kubwa on Sunday, attracting dignitaries from the seat of power among whom included the Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Six A-list comedian led by I Go Dye and seven budding comedians were on call to duty for the entertainment of the guests at the event.
The artistes were splendid as they centred their jokes on contemporary issues bordering on good family life, good governance and citizenship and sundry existentialist problems.
Speaking at the event, the president’s spokesman, described the event as being therapeutic.
“The Bible says a merry heart doeth good like medicine,” he said, “so comedy which elicits laughter is free therapy readily available to all and this healthy living”.
The budding acts who performed at the show included Headmaster Steve, Sergeant Keita, Miracle, Phantom AY, MC Humble Igwe, Charly White and Mr. Steve.
The next edition of Glo Laffta Fest holds in Ikeja, Lagos this Sunday at 10 Degrees event centre, Oregun.
