Tambuwal urges politicians to stop act of violence

GOVERNOR Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has called on the political players in the state to play politics according to the rules of the game and desist from promoting violence.

Tambuwal made the plea while receiving the Commander 119 forward operations base Nigerian Air force Sokoto, Group captain J. Usman who paid him a courtesy visit at government house Sokoto.

He charged the politicians to shun violence and play politics without bitternes. He assured that state government in collaboration with security agencies are striving hard to address the security challenges that rear its ugly head in the state.

The Governor further challenged political players in the state not to undermine the peaceful disposition of the state, adding that state security council would soon take appropriate measures on the security menace confronting the state.

He explained that state government has created ministry of carriers and security matters with a view to ensuring proper networking of security information between security agencies and the state government.

The Governor appealed to the people of the state to cooperate with security agencies for effective discharge of their duties.

Earlier, commander 199 forward operations base Nigerian Air force Sokoto, Group Captain J Usman said he was at the government House to solicit the support of the state government for his command for successful discharge of their duties, he reaffirmed their determination to discharge their duties effectively.
