Gospel singer and songwriter, Solagbade Olaonipekun, has been in the studio working on a new album, which will be released in two weeks. The new album, Sovereign God, has been the talk of the town, especially among many listeners of gospel songs due to the singer’s music prowess that has given her edge over her colleagues and earned her accolades from home and abroad.
Having discovered her calling at a young age, Solagbade, whose music career has taken her across the country and a number of African countries believes she was called by God to propagate the gospel through song ministration, adding that she would continue to uphold the body of Christ, through which her songs are inspired.
Solagabde, who already has a number of albums to her name is leaving no stone unturned to push her latest work to the next level, and from her discussion with R during the week, the energetic performer appears ready to put her music career on a new level.
The seven-track album, according to Solagabde was inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. “I feel very happy about this new project that was inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. We have been working on this project for more than 12 weeks and now that the work has been completed, I could not be happier.”
With tracks like, Ore Ofe Jesu, Sovereign God, Awesome God, Orin Ope and Yes I Know, the album will surely be given a massive airplay once it is released with marketers already scampering for the master copy. Though Solagbade said she would not be launching the album as against the normal trend, shemaintained that “We will make sure that every nook and cranny of the country is blessed with copies of the album.”
