S’Court: Adetimehin hails judgement, congratulates Tinubu

The Chairman of the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ade Adetimehin, has hailed the Supreme Court’s verdict, which reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s victory, emphasising that truth and justice will always prevail.

In his statement, Adetimehin extended his congratulations to President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. The APC National Secretariat, led by Dr Abdullahi Umar Gaduje, and all stakeholders of the ruling party were also congratulated on this victory. Adetimehin described the verdict as “a triumph for democracy and the Nigerian people.”

He further commended the unanimous decision of the seven-member panel of Supreme Court Justices, addressing all issues raised by the appellants. Adetimehin viewed this as a validation of Ondo State’s substantial voter turnout during the national election.

Adetimehin expressed his unwavering confidence in the judiciary and the legal teams of both the President and the party, stating that the state chapter never doubted the outcome of the case.

Ondo APC also praised the commitment of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the promotion of democracy in Nigeria.

Adetimehin encouraged the President to put legal distractions behind and focus on the task of rebuilding the economy and improving the welfare of Nigerians, in line with the renewed hope agenda. He expressed confidence in the APC-led government’s efforts to eliminate economic loopholes and ensure the judicious use of national resources for the benefit of all Nigerians.

The party appealed to all contenders, particularly the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party, to collaborate with the ruling APC in accelerating economic recovery.

Adetimehin concluded with a prayer for the President and his team, hoping they would continue leading the nation in its crucial mission of rebuilding.
