Scarlet Gomez and Layi Wasabi crowned ‘Overall Best’ in celebrity showdown

Published by

After six weeks of exhilarating entertainment filled with laughter, surprises, and thrilling challenges, Team Sizzle, comprising actress Scarlet Gomez and comedian Layi Wasabi, has emerged victorious as the winners of the ‘Overall Best’ celebrity showdown.

Team Sizzle’s stellar performance earns them a grand prize of N10m, to be donated to a charity or cause of their choosing. Runners-up, Team Litty, and Team Vibes, walk away with five million naira each, which will also be directed to their preferred charities.

The final showdown began with a mesmerising performance by the Bailamos Dance Group, who set the stage on fire with brilliant colours and intricate dance moves, transporting the audience into a real-life carnival.

The night then featured a series of thrilling challenges, beginning with the intense ‘Ball Throw’, where participants had to aim a basket while blindfolded. There, Team Sizzle’s precision earned them a decisive victory, scoring 12 points.

The tension continued to mount with the second game of the night — ‘Limbo’, with Team Sizzle and Team Vibes locked in a fierce battle, ultimately tying with six points each.

However, it was the electrifying finale of the ‘Mime it Like You Own it’ game that sealed Team Sizzle’s fate. Miming hits from iconic artistes, the teams gave it their all; however, Team Sizzle’s rendition of Kizz Daniel and Davido’s ‘Twe Twe’ stole the show, securing their well-deserved victory.

Team Sizzle may have claimed the coveted ‘Overall Best’ title, and though fans thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, spectacle, and suspense over seven weeks, the true victory lies in the fact that all winnings go towards a worthy cause, making the game show a win-win situation.
