Salome Adaidu: Please release my son, Timilehin Ajayi’s father begs govt

The father of Timilehin Ajayi, a gospel singer arrested for the gruesome murder of a corps member, Salome Adaidu, has made an emotional plea for his son’s release.

Ajayi, who was apprehended after being found with Adaidu’s severed head in a polythene bag, has been remanded by a Nasarawa State High Court.

Tribune Online reports that the sad incident occurred in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, a community near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

While the family of Salome Adaidu continues to mourn their tragic loss, Ajayi’s father has appealed to the government for clemency.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, he said, “I want the government to help me so that the matter is settled. I want them to help me beg so that he is released.”

In contrast, Ajayi’s mother stated that she had surrendered the matter to the authorities. “If it was one of my daughters they did that to, how would I feel?'” she said.

“So the government can do anything they want to do. Everything is in their hands.”

Ajayi, who describes himself as a motivational speaker on TikTok, had earlier confessed to the crime during interrogation.

While speaking on the motive for killing her in a previous interview, he admitted to taking the life of his supposed girlfriend over alleged infidelity.
