Robbers attack bullion van in Delta

The police in Delta State have confirmed the attack on a bullion van along the Asaba- Benin expressway at Ubulu-Okiti, Aniocha south local government area of the state on Tuesday.

According to the acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright: “Yes! It actually happened but I don’t have details of what transpired and every other detail that you may need now.

“The only thing that I can tell you for now is that it happened.”

Reports from the area said heavily armed men ambushed and opened fire on the bullion van that was conveying heading to a new generation bank.

The robbers were said to have overpowered the security operatives attached to the bullion van.
