THE Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has advised Nigerians to celebrate the Independence Day without recording any crash.
He spoke through the Corps Public Education Officer of FRSC, Mr. Bisi Kaseem in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
Oyeyemi while wishing Nigerians happy Independence Day celebrations, said only the living celebrates and advised the motoring public to drive to save a life while ensuring they give adequate consideration to other road users.
He stressed that other road users including pedestrians, cyclists or motorcyclists must enjoy the privilege of safety to their various destinations.
He further urged the motorists to eschew road rage, drunk driving, phoning on wheel, and overloading, speeding and dangerous driving amongst other road vices.
The Corps Marshal warned that there would be increase in vehicular and human traffic as a result of the celebrations especially to stadiums , event places, places of worship , restaurants, clubs and drinking joints, therefore , need to be defensive in driving and see other motorists as potential danger is quite important .
