The report of the investigative hearing into the diversion of crude oil revenues of over $1.13 billion between 2017 and 2018 has been laid on the floor of the House of Representatives.
In the same vein, the House received the report on the petition initiated by Falode Oluyemi Oyeleye against the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on a plea to save the families of four missing Nigerians from trauma and suffering by directing the NPF authority to search and rescue their missing Officers and a Civilian since September 3, 2018, while on official duty, which was referred on the February 18th, 2020.
The reports were laid by the Chairman, House Committee on Public Petitions, Hon Jerry Alagbaso, during Tuesday plenary.
According to him, the petition was initiated by 1st Synergy Resources Limited against the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on alleged shortchange in the Federation Account by diverting Crude Oil Revenues of over $1.13 billion in 2017/2018, was referred to the committee on the February 4th, 2020.
In the same vein, Hon Alagbaso laid the report on the petition initiated by 1st Synergy Resources Limited against the Oil Companies Evading Tax in Nigeria, the nightmare of the Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the nation at large.
Before adjourning plenary to next Tuesday, the House also received the report on the petition initiated by U. C. Oparaugo & Co on behalf of Kings and Security Services Limited against the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal College for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (FEDCAM) over refusal to pay King Kelle Security Services Limited.
Also at plenary, the Committee laid the report on the petition by Dr Napoleon Aisueni against the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on ‘A call to obey Court Orders and allow Dr Napoleon Aisueni to function as the Director/CEO of the Nigerian Institute of Oil Palm Research, (NIFOR) Benin City, Edo State of Nigeria, which was referred to the committee on September 26th, 2020.
In line with legislative practice, the reports are to be considered at the Committee of the Whole during the next legislative day to be determined by the House Committee on Rules and Business.
