The Deputy Minority Whip of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Adesegun Adekoya has given out free school bags and mathematical sets to thousands of secondary school students in Ogun State.
The educational materials were distributed to students in all the 52 secondary schools in his federal constituency of Ijebu-North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside local governments.
Adekoya who commenced the distribution exercise on Monday said it was part of his constituency projects earmarked in the 2018 budgetary allocation.

According to the Deputy Minority Whip, the exercise became necessary following the resumption of school activities in public schools across the State.
He added that the gesture was aimed at encouraging learning in his constituency and complement efforts of the State government’s in revamping the education sector.
“Sound education is an essential key that unlocks success and prosperity. This is why we have embarked on this project to ensure that our young ones are properly groomed for the future. It gives me great pleasure to make this humble donation to our secondary school students. They deserve all the necessary support they can get to achieve their dreams and aspirations.” he said.
