Like a consensus that political leadership failure or corruption is the main challenge of our nation, I find it difficult to comprehend or validate harassment of students by lecturers.
It’s difficult to understand that most of the lecturers accused of sexual harassment and rape are professors and senior academics. If the political leaders are the most corrupt as being standar- dized, where is the hope if the professors, academics presenting picture of high morals, integrity, good character, knowledge, wisdom, fairness stand for election?
How can they be trusted as credible alternatives too? It does not justify that leadership position can only be occupied by certain members of the society, especially where faulty values, norms, orientation of clan determine prosperity. If all groups can’t be left out in abuse of privileges, why won’t there be leadership failure?
