RCCG donates building to Ojodu Junior Primary School in Lagos

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on behalf of its General Overseer, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has donated a block of classrooms to Ojodu Junior Primary School located at Omole Estate Communicate in Lagos.

Pator Brown Oyitso who is in charge of Region 9, stated that the gesture was part of RCCG Social Cooperate Responsibility (CSR) “Our General Overseer instructed us to partner with government to assist the poor, to go out and feed the poor; and to meet the needs of the economically marginalised of the society, especially in the neighbourhood of our parishes,” he said.

Also speaking at the occasion was Pastor Bola Odutola who stated that as a church, they believe that education was a life-long pursuit.

“We believe that modern facilities not only improve a school’s physical outlook but more importantly the learning culture,” Odutola said.

He noted that the effort would assist to eliminate health and safety threats posed by overcrowded classrooms,as well as stimulating learning environments, excite pupils to come to school, challenged other bodies to support the government in upgrading the standards of public schools, among others.

Odutola commended the passion of the principal and the staff of the school. He thanked the architects and the pastor in charge of Region 19 for his support in the project.
