The Minister of Defense for state, Bello Matawalle has distributed the sum of N500 million as a Ramadan gesture to the people of Zamfara state.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the Special Adviser on political affairs to Mattawalle, Hon. Ibrahim Danmalikin Gidan Goga, while briefing newsmen in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.

Goga explained that the Minister of Defense has earmarked about N500 million naira for distribution to people in the state as part of his assistance to Muslims in this holy month of Ramadan.
“The Minister has so far distributed cash assistance of N100,000 each to 2,800 beneficiaries across the 14 local government areas in the state, which the gesture was aimed to reduce Muslims’ hardship in this holy month of Ramadan,” he stated.
According to him, the beneficiaries of the Ramadan gesture include less privileged persons, youths, women groups, and APC stakeholders from local government to ward levels across the state.
“This year 200 beneficiaries were drawn from each of the 14 local governments, apart from groups, individuals,and stakeholders, where the gesture ranges between N100,000 and N250,000 per beneficiary,” he said.
