Prominent Nigerians converge in Osogbo for Ataoja son’s wedding

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, eminent personalities, including politicians, across political divides,  captain of industries, technocrats and top officials of Osun government, on Saturday converged in Osogbo, capital of Osun State to grace the wedding ceremony of the son of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Ibrahim Oyetunde, who tied nuptial knot with Afisat Adeola.
The event, which attracted prominent Nigerians was held at an event centre, located on Osogbo-Iwo expressway.
Delivering a lecture during the event, Professor Abdul-Hafiz Oladosu of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan (UI) enjoined Nigerians, holding political office, religious leaders and politicians, irrespective of political affiliations to be conscious of ephemeral nature of position of power, by ensuring that the collective interest of the masses are ultimately protected.
He also re-awakened the awareness of all and sundry to the last day, saying everybody should strive to make thier positive impacts felt during their sojourn on earth, just as he enjoined the newly wedded couple to exhibit love, tolerance and understanding so that their new marital life can stand the test of time. 
Supervising the cutting of the cake, wife of Ogun State governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun charged the couple on tolerance and patience, while the chairman of the ocassion, Mr Yusuf Alli, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) called on them to put God first in all their undertakings.
 
Dignitaries at the event include Aregbesola, the new Aare Ona Kakanfo designate, Chief Gani Adams, Senator Olu Alabi, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, General Raji Rasaki (rtd). former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Adejare Bello, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yusuf, Timi of Edeland, former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Osun State, Mr Wale Afolabi, wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs Olufunmi Amosun, Aare Musulumi of Yorubalandl, and Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Chief Tunde Badmus.
