“Pray for me, I have been sick” Alaji Tekno implores fans as he travels US for treatment

Published by

During the week, Nigeria’s multi-talented singer, producer and dancer, Mr. Augustine Miles Kelechi popularly known as Tekno Miles or Alhaji Tekno travelled to an undisclosed hospital in the United States for treatment.

The Yawa hit maker, who got his fans screaming their lungs out during the annual AY Live Easter Comedy Show, has been diagnosed of a disease known as Acid reflux, a disease he has been suffering for a month.

The singer took to his Instagram account to announce his departure to America and to implore his fans to pray for his quick recovery.

He wrote: “I know I have disappointed [awhile] lot of my printers and my amazing fans worldwide! I’ve been sick for over a month from acid [reflux] and it has worsened. I want to sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this may cause; all the [shoe] refunds and any other [lost].

“I am not taking any bookings right now as I’m off to America for proper treatment.  [Gods] grace, I will be better in no time and be back on stage! If you could share a little prayer for me, I will be grateful.”

According to experts, acid reflux also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the upper part of the stomach and the lower esophageal sphincter move above the diaphragm, a muscle that separates the stomach from the chest, allowing a lot of stomach acid along the food pipe. This can be very discomforting.

And it is caused by eating large meals or lying down right after a meal, being overweight or obese, eating a heavy meal and lying on your back or bending over at the waist, snacking close to bedtime, eating certain foods, such as citrus, tomato, chocolate, mint, garlic, onions, or spicy or fatty foods, drinking certain beverages, such as alcohol, carbonated drinks, coffee, or tea, smoking, being pregnant, taking aspirin, ibuprofen, certain muscle relaxers, or blood pressure medications.

We join our prayers with Tekno’s family and loyal fans to wish him quick recovery.
