THE chaplain of the Oyo State Police Command, SP Moses Adekola, has charged policemen in the state to renew their commitment to God so as to lead exemplary lives.
Adekola stated this during the third anniversary of An Hour with Jesus Fellowship at the Iyaganku Central Police Station, Ibadan, recently.
He said going by the personal and professional challenges policemen are facing, “it is important to stay with God Who can help us overcome the turbulence in front of us.”
While also speaking, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Iyaganku, CSP Emmanuel Ojopagogo, explained how the fellowship started and how God has been using it to minister into peoples’ lives.
Ojopagogo also charged policemen to always get closer to God if they want to overcome life’s challenges.
Earlier, the pastor in-charge of the fellowship, Sergeant Achanya Yunisa, went down memory lane, while explaining how God used the current Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 11, Leye Oyebade, to start the fellowship three years ago.
“God has been doing wonders in the fellowship and I know He will continue to answer our prayers,” Yunisa said.
