The Anambra State Police Command has paraded one hundred and fifteen suspects for various crimes in Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra state.
Tribune Online gathered that the suspects allegedly committed various crimes including pick-pocketing, handbag snatching and Indian hemp smoking.
The arrests were as a result of efforts by a combined team of security agencies in the State, led by Mr John Oboagbaka, in charge of Onitsha Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, who raided black spots at Upper Iweka, Aba Road and Owerri Road, Onitsha.
Parading the suspects at the Area command headquarters, Onitsha, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Haruna Mohammed said that twenty-five suspects were arrested in connection with illegal revenue collection and that investigation is still ongoing.

While pointing out that logistics provided by the Anambra State government boosted the operation, the PPRO emphasized that the suspects will be screened, profiled and charged to court, assuring that law enforcement agents are on ground to ensure safety of life and property of Ndi Anambra, especially as Christmas and New year approaches.
Officers from other security agencies including the army, Nigerian civil defense corps, National drug law enforcement agency, Department of State services, among others, attended the parade ceremony.
