An 18-year-old man, Olagoke Segun, on Tuesday appeared before a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court in Osun over alleged housebreaking and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp Ona Glory, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Aug. 23 at about 8:13 a.m. at Ifelodun Street, Modakeke, in Ife East Local Government Area of Osun.
Glory said that the defendant unlawfully entered into the house of the complainant, Kayode Onigbinde, and stole one charger, one shovel and freezer.

Others were borehole pipe, standing fan, two big drums and 20 aluminium pots, all valued at N180,000.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 382, 390(9), 411 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge of conspiracy, housebreaking and stealing.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Beneth Adirieje, pleaded for the bail of the defendant in most liberal terms, promising that his client would not jump bail.
Magistrate Muhibah Olatunji granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with three sureties in like sum.
Olatunji added that the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means, reside within the court’s jurisdiction while one of them must be a civil servant in the state on Grade Level 10.
She stated further that the sureties’ address must be verified by the prosecutor.
The case was adjourned till Sept. 30 for hearing.
