The 11 people arrested in connection with the recent killings in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State where over 23 persons were killed by gunmen men have been arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court, Kasuwa Nama sitting at the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) and left off the hook on bail.
Irked by the ugly incident that led to the death of innocent souls in the two communities, Governor Simon Lalong ordered for the arrest of both Fulani and community leaders in the area and emphatically told the State Commissioner of Police not to release them until they produce those who carried out the dastardly act.
After their arrest, the suspects were later transferred to Abuja on the order of the Inspector General of Police but brought back to Plateau State on Thursday for prosecution.

According to the First Investigation Report (FIR) read in Court “That on 30/01/2020, 11 of you conspired and screen persons that launched an attack on Kwatas and Kulbem-Kombu villages Bokkos local government area which led to the death of 14 persons.
“And that the unlawful act committed by you, the 11 persons contravened section 59 and 129 of Plateau State Penal Code 2017.”
Ruling on the bail application, Hon Tongret Kparbong, Chief Magistrate Court of Kasuwa Nama, sitting at JMDB granted the accused bail and adjourned the case indefinitely.
