The Managing Director of PG Security, Seyi Alaba, has emerged the Chairman of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) in Oyo State.
The election took place at the former headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State command located at the Railway compound, Iyanganku, Ibadan, on Wednesday, 20th of November 2019.
Seyi Alaba who was unopposed emerged chairman with 34 votes. Other newly appointed executive members are; Mrs Balogun Simbiat – Vice Chairman, Pastor Alagba Adegboyega – Treasurer, Mr Julius Dada – Financial Secretary, Mr Olajide Ijalusi – PRO, Mr Uwem Awa – Provost and Mr Adegbola Adedigba – Acting Secretary.
Mr Alaba appreciated the members that elected him and also commended them for their effectiveness and transparency. He promised to contribute his own quota to address all issues in the industry.

“This is an industry that is relatively young and presently, we have a lot of challenges but as we all know, security challenges are not peculiar to Nigeria, it is a global issue. As a result of this, we need to standardise this industry.
“So, one of my key priorities is to contribute my own quota to have a strategic plan to address the issues in the industry and to also have good quality control in the industry,” he said.
Also speaking, the former chairman of the association, Colonel Dayo Ogundipe, advised the incoming executive to work together with the federal, state and local security personnel.
“There should be synergy between security companies and the federal, state and local government security personnel for the betterment of Nigerians,” he said.
