A stalwart of Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) in Benue state, Alex Ushi has said that the state party would abide by its constitution in integrating new entrants into the party.

Ushi said that the party would treat every returning’ or new members from other political parties to its fold.

Ushi stated this yesterday in Makurdi following the setting up of a Committee to integrate new members into the party.

He stated that the essence is to ensure the appropriate distribution of party positions to all, including new entrants to the PDP.

“There were a lot of processes that led to this, all I have to say is PDP is a disciplined party. We play by the rules of the party and we are guided by the party constitution.

“So, we ensure that in whatever we do, we are guided. The party took the decision to hand over the party structures to the governor and as far as it’s in accordance with the constitution people will abide by it.

“But, the arrangement is that we will first of all integrate our brothers that are coming back and then come to terms with this and allocate positions. And of course, it’s all about allocation of positions and when we integrate the rest will follow,” he stated.
