Oyo/Osun Customs controller decorates Public Relations Officer, others

The Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Dr Ben Oramalugo, has urged all newly promoted officers and men to continue in upholding the integrity and professionalism that have brought them to their current status.

The Area Controller gave the advice on Monday at the official decoration ceremony for 95 officers and men of the Command who were promoted to their next ranks in the just-concluded promotion exercise of the NCS.

The ceremony was held at the Area command’s operational headquarters in Ibadan.

Among the decorated officers was the Area command’s Public Relations Officer, Kayode Wey, who is now a Chief Superintendent of Customs.

In his address, Dr Oramalugo congratulated the officers and men for their well-deserved promotions.

He acknowledged that their dedication and consistent performance in various capacities had significantly contributed to the Command’s operational success.

He said that the decoration ceremony was a moment of pride for the Command as it celebrates the hard work, resilience and excellence that brought each promoted officer to the current milestone.

He added that their promotion is a testament to the Officers and Men’s continued dedication to the values of the Nigeria Customs Service and the collective mission to ensure the prosperity and security of the nation.

Dr Oramalugo also commended the officers who came from various units and departments within the Oyo/Osun Area Command, as he stated that the decoration with their new ranks marks a significant achievement in their careers.

He stated further that the ceremony serves as both a celebration of individual achievement and a reminder of the high standards the Nigeria Customs Service strives to maintain.

Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to continuous capacity building and professional development for its officers, the Comptroller also urged the newly decorated officers to serve as role models to their colleagues and continue to build their capacities and intellect.

He also admonished them to continue contributing positively to the growth and advancement of the Nigeria Customs Service.
