Former Police Affairs Minister, Alhaji AbdulJelili Adesiyan has joined thousands of Oyo State indigene to congratulate Engineer Seyi Makinde, who emerged as the next governor of the state.
In his congratulatory message to the governor-elect, Adesiyan said that Makinde deserved the victory with the way Oyo State people speak with their vote.
Adesiyan expressed the belief that Makinde will govern the people of Oyo State well. He said: “Congratulations on your well deserved victory in the gubernatorial election in Oyo State, by this victory; the people of Oyo State have demonstrated like never before the love and confidence in your person.

“My prayer is for God to give you the wisdom to govern the state,” the statement read.
It will be recalled that Seyi Makinde of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 515,621 to defeat his closest rival, Mr Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 357,982.
