AHEAD of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) national convention scheduled for May 14, the 62-man convention committee will be inaugurated by the national chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun.
The national leadership of the party had last week unveiled the convention committee with Alhaji Mohammed Badru Abubakar and Rotimi Akeredolu, governors of Jigawa and Ondo states, respectively as chairman and deputy.
Meanwhile, a forum, Young Men in Politics (YMP), has endorsed the chairmanship ambition of deputy national publicity secretary of the party, Timi Frank.
The YMP in a statement at the weekend issued in Abuja by Comrade Olalekan Daniel and Barrister Mamunat Muhammed, chairman and secretary of the forum, they declared that they were determined to mobilise support for Timi Frank, whom they noted has proven to be an experienced politician who has seen it all in Nigeria’s politics having been a youth leader for the former ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for years.

“Timi Frank is a proud member of our forum and we can attest to his experience in politicking which spans almost two decades, and he has the ears of most political leaders spread across the six geo-political zones of the country.
“We are of the strong view that Timi Frank’s chairmanship will correct the impression that President Buhari’s led APC government does not believe in young Nigerians, hence our appeal to all the leaders of the ruling party to openly express support for our brother and colleague, Comrade Timi Frank.”
