According to Mr Ganniyu, the college doing this is fulfilling its mandate of training middle level healthcare manpower while improving access to dental care at the primary healthcare level.
The Provost said middle-level health care providers account for 70 per cent of the manpower required for service provision at the Primary health care level.
He stated that the college has newly also accredited to offer national diploma certificates in dental therapy, environmental health technology and nutrition and dietetics.
Mr Ganiyu, however, warned the fresh students against acts that might be inimical to the well being of the institution that could allow their rights and privileges to learn at the college to be withdrawn.
Acting, Registrar, OYCHST, Mrs O Ayoola in her opening remarks at the matriculation ceremony for the 2019/2020 academic session, said the core values of the institution should make them inspire to learn, pursue excellence and respond to community needs.
