Outdoor advertisers laud Lagos govt on environmental protection, donate safety jackets
The Lagos State government has been applauded for taking appropriate steps that will not only protect the environment against the vagaries of nature and from causes of degradation but will also enhance the overall aesthetics of the state.
This was the view of the president of Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Chief Emmanuel Ajufo, while presenting 100 units of branded safety vests to the Lagos State Parks & Gardens Regulatory Agency [LASPARK], recently.
Ajufo was accompanied to the agency office by the association’s Vice President, Mr Femi Ogala and the General Manager, Chiddy Ibiam.
Speaking further, Ajulo, in a statement, disclosed that the decision of OAAN to present the item was informed by the conviction of the executive council to identify with and support both the agency and the government of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the determination to keep Lagos environment in proper shape and safe for all the residents.
In her response, General Manager of LASPARK, Adetoun Popoola, commended OAAN for the gift, promising to put the items to good use and also calling on other organisations, especially in the private sector, to do likewise.
She said the desire of the state government, especially the current administration is to make the state both aesthetically fulfilling and safe for all residents and visitors.
