Nigeria junior international, Oluwasegun Otusanya, has signed for FK Haugesund of Norway.
Speaking after unveiling the striker, FK Haugesund’s Sporting Director, Eirik Opedal said the team signed Otusanya because of his qualities.
“FK Haugesund is very happy to sign Segun Otusanya. He is a good boy with a lot of talent.
“We are looking forward to exploring his talent and hopefully developing him into a successful footballer,” Opedal said.
In his remarks, Otusanya expressed joy to have fulfilled his long-term dream of playing European Football.
“This is one of my happiest days in life fulfilling my dream of playing in Europe. I have been working very hard, and I’m happy that FK Haugesund are providing me with the platformand opportunity to showcase my talents,” the product of Stars Builders Academy said.
Speaking on the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup, Otusanya, who scored eight goals in six friendly games in the lead up to the African U20 Championship held in Egypt said he remains focused on the challenges ahead.
“I’m happy the team qualified for the World Cup, itis every player’s dream to play represent his country at the highest level. The U20 World Cup is the highest level for players of my age. I learnt a lot playing under coach Bosso, during the preparation the African Championship, and i hope I get called back when the team resumes camp for preparation for the World Cup.”
