THE Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State, (Osun IPAC) has cleared the air on the recent alleged claim of increase in number of voter registrants in the continuous voters registration ongoing in Osun state .
A press statement signed by the chairman, Osun State IPAC, Mr Adewale Adebayo, and made available to Nigerian Tribune on Tuesday had alleged high figure in the ongoing continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise in the state.
According to the statement, the body had since promised to look into the issue of the alleged hike in the number of new voters registered in the ongoing continuous voter registration in the state.
He said: “sequel to my publication on July 29, 2021, I communicated my knowledge of news making the rounds about the increase in the total number of new voters registered in the ongoing CVR nationwide.
“I promised that IPAC will look into the matter and constitute a committee to visit the INEC REC for Osun State, so as to get clarity on why there is a massive hike in the number of voters in the state as against its counterparts.”
