Wednesday, November 28, 2018, has been set for a symposium in honour of late comedian, Moses Olaiya Adejumo aka Baba Sala and will form a part of activities towards his burial which takes place next month.
The symposium for the late multi talented entertainer, is tagged “Genius without Borders”. The symposium will feature Barrister Tunji Bamishigbin, who is also a Theatre Arts practitioner and Professor Bakare Ojo-Rasaki, of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti state who will present papers on “The Role of stage Play in a Nascent Democracy”.
According to information made available to the Nigerian Tribune, the royal fathers of the day are Oba of Lagos, HRM, Rilwan Akiola, Oba Elegushi of Ikateland, Oba Saheed Elegushi.
Other dignitaries expected at the event are Speaker, Lagos state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Madashiru Obasa, the All Peoples Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos state, Babajide Sanwolu, his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Jimi Agbaje Hon. Solomon Adeola (YAYI), Senator Babafemi Ojudu, among others.
The symposium, which has as its chief host, King Sunny Ade, will unveil a brochure dedicated to life and times of Baba Sala, a 30 minutes documentary that relay individuals who Baba Sala had impacted their lives positively. Venue for the event is the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.
