Obey, Ayewa, Bola Are, Shina Peters, others light up UK at Celebrate the Comforter

The streets of London recently came alive when music legends, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, Pastor Joseph Adelakun, Evangelist Bola Are, Sir Shina Peters and Evangelist Bisi Alawiye stormed the famous London Excel International Exhibition Centre for the first joint revival and concert of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church (C&S) and Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), in the United Kingdom tagged: “Celebrate the Comforter”.

The event organised by the head of the Love of Christ Church, London, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, was also graced by dignitaries from Nigeria led by the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; former governor of Osun State, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola and others.

The ‘all white’ event held on July 29, also had in attendance ministers of God from all walks of life including the spiritual leaders of both churches; the Supreme Head of C&S Church, His Eminence (Dr) Solomon Alao and Pastor Emmanuel Oshoffa. The General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C), Prophet Elijah Abiara; Bishop Ceirion Dewar, among others also graced the event.

The event themed: “Celebrating Unity in Holy Spirit” was also graced by notable actors in the industry such as, Prince Segun Remi, popularly known as Chief Kanran, Madam Saje and Fathia Balogun, while gospel artistes, Evangelists Bukola Akinade, (a.k.a) Senwele Jesu, Olatunde Olomola and Dorien Jacob, popularly known as Oyinbo Jesu and the C&S and CCC Mass Choir which also performed at the event.

During his speech, Chief Obasanjo, who was the cynosure of all eyes in a white garment regalia, preached on the importance of love as the only means to grow as body of Christ and nation, just as the Ooni, who led a delegation of Obas to the concert charged everyone to always praise God irrespective of any situation as he led the congregation in a hymnal song.

The 4500 capacity edifice, which was filled, was set agog when Bola Are, Alawiye mounted stage. The energetic musician, Peters in his usual manner ignited people with his popular hits. Ayewa lifted the souls of people with Amona. Obey, who rounded off the event as he thrilled everyone with his evergreen songs.
