The House of Assembly member representing Ogori/Magongo State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Bode Ogunmola, has thrown his full weight behind the second term aspiration of Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, saying there is no vacancy in Lugard House till 2031.
Hon. Ogunmola, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), noted that given the remarkable performance of the governor in less than two years, he remains unbeatable in any electoral contest.
According to the lawmaker, “no one changes a winning team,” adding that it is practically impossible for anyone to unseat the governor in 2027.
He further noted that the governor’s popularity and his people-oriented style of governance were what informed his decision to dump the PDP.
“If service is one’s driving force in politics, then Governor Ododo is someone to align with. He is selfless, and you can almost touch his sincerity of purpose,” Hon. Ogunmola enthused.
“Yes, we expect other contestants, but trust me, they will remain jokers because their defeat will be colossal.
“We will fully mobilise for His Excellency and it is on this basis that I can confidently say that there is no vacancy in Lugard House till 2031”, he reaffirmed.
He reiterated that the electorate in his constituency is fully prepared to vote massively to re-elect the Governor in 2027, noting that he has earned the trust of his people.
