A group of Nigerians, under the aegis of The Association of Nigerian Entrepreneurs in the Diaspora, has called on government to investigate and fish out those behind “the evil rumour of death of President Muhammadu Buhari” and consider taking some form of action against them for heating the polity and causing panic to the general public.
The group, in a statement signed its the chairman , Mr Charles Sylvester and made available to the Nigerian Tribune in Jos, described as inhuman any death wishes for a human being by another persons.
Instead of spreading such evil rumours, the group asked Nigerians to pray for the president’s good health and for God to grant him the wisdom to lead our country to greatness.
He said that the rumour mongers have brought emotional pain and torture not only to the members of the president’s immediate family, but to his friends, associates and indeed many Nigerians who had been distressed by the evil rumour .
According to the group, rumours could also cost the country a lot of investment due to the unwarranted uncertainty caused by the peddlers.
“We commend the President on the efforts of his government and the armed forces in defeating BokoHaram and creating a better security for investors in Nigeria. We should all unite and support the government by capitalising on such gains”
The group said the government would overcome current economic challenges and get the country out the recession that was a consequence of the mismanagement by the previous administrations.
