Nigeria to witness more infrastructural development in 2025 — Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians of more infrastructural development projects that have a direct bearing on the people, especially road networks across the country.

The President gave this assurance through the Minister of State for Works, Mohammed Bello Goronyo, during a courtesy visit to Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, on Wednesday.

He stated that the ongoing construction of the superhighway from Sokoto to Badagry is a testimony to President Tinubu’s commitment to Nigerian projects.

The Minister described President Tinubu as a leader ready to serve the people of Nigeria and remain focused and resolute in delivering his renewed hope mantra.

He said the superhighway from Illela in Sokoto State to Badagry in Lagos State would open up many business activities, reduce insecurity, and shorten travel times.

Goronyo told the governor that road maintenance and clearing of drainages are mandates of the work plan for the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA). He emphasised the need for collaboration to achieve the desired objectives.

He said his visit to Kebbi State was part of a familiarisation tour and to commission a rehabilitated bridge at Alawasa town along the Sokoto to Birnin Kebbi road, which was destroyed by rain last rainy season and rehabilitated by FERMA.

Responding, Governor Nasir Idris acknowledged the work being executed by FERMA in the state in terms of road repairs and maintenance.

The Governor thanked President Tinubu for including Kebbi State in the construction of the superhighway from Illela in Sokoto State to Badagry in Lagos State, which will bring significant economic development to the people of Kebbi State.
