Bello Boluwatife Olabode, popularly known as Icekid in the entertainment/music scene was born in the historical city of Ibadan on the 21st of October 1996. He is the youngest child of three. He hails from Oyo town but spent most of his life in Ibadan.
Icekid attended Arise and Shine group of schools, before proceeding to the secondary arm of the same school. He is current in his third year in higher institution, studying Civil Engineering at the Ladoke Akintola University Ogbomosho. Icekid’s love for music started at a very tender age, he eventually delved into music professionally in 2012. He has since then released two trending debut singles. The first single is titled ‘Come home’ was released in December 2015. The second and most recent single is titled ‘Juru’ was released earlier in September, this year.
As a recording artiste, Icekid has always been inspired by a wide range of music genre and artistes. These include the legendary Fela, Tuface Idibia, Chris brown and Eminem. Also, his creative fusion of his mother tongue and convectional hip-hop has earned him his unique style
In early 2016, he bagged himself a recording and management contract with Flamez entertainment. He has featured in some events such as the City Buzz, one of Ibadan’s most anticipated annual music concert. He also featured at the University of Lagos campus show and has worked with producers such as Jlaz Beats (producer of LAMBA), Boller Tosh and Zino Foster
Yet to have any collaborations, Icekid’s latest single is currently making waves and getting massive radio play across the South West. This young lyrically acclaimed talent is presently working on his debut album.
